Paid listings
How paid listings work
Every profile on Advisable starts as a free profile built from public SEC filings. Some advisors pay us for extra features. This page explains what they pay, what they get, and how we keep payment from changing the facts.
What advisors pay
- Claimed: $99 a month or $990 a year.
- Featured (coming later): $199 a month or $1,990 a year. No spots are sold yet.
- That is all. We do not take a share of an advisor's fees, and we do not charge per visit, per lead, or per new client.
What they get
- Claimed: a bio, photo, website, and phone the advisor chooses, and a fee note.
- Featured (coming later): everything in Claimed, plus a card in a labeled Sponsored section of our city and fee pages.
Our conflict of interest
Paying advisors are our customers. That gives us a reason to present them favorably, to keep them happy, and to sell more paid plans. A paid listing is an advertisement, not a recommendation. Advisable Finance is not a client of any advisor it lists.
How we limit it
- The SEC facts on every profile are the same whether or not an advisor pays. Advisors cannot edit or hide them.
- Payment does not change the order of search results.
- Paid content is labeled where it appears, with the price.
- We do not recommend, rate, or rank advisors.
Check for yourself
Before you hire anyone, read their record on the SEC's site at adviserinfo.sec.gov and ask how they are paid.
